Actually this is yesterday’s – Friday. Still freezing here in Glastonbury. When will this Winter go?!?

Personal astrological birth charts are now available in the astro section. It was indeed an interesting exercise in coding with web services, parsing xml, and what-have-you. The place search seems quite responsive to ordinary requests, such as ‘Glastonbury UK’ or ‘Glastonbury USA’. The time zone and daylight savings are from the Olson tz data, and they seem pretty accurate, though I haven’t tested them that much. Core astrological data is powered by Walter Pullen’s Astrolog. If anyone spots any glaring blunders, do let me know! Maybe I’ll try to include PDF downloads of charts and interpretations if I get round to it…
This website blog should now be updated for iPhone, iPod Touch, Android and Blackberry Storm.
Visitors browsing with these devices should now see the blog through the appropriate custom interface (can be switched off to show regular browser site).

I know. The Spring Equinox is still far away, but there’s no harm in a little nostalgia for last Summer…
Winter seems reluctant to slip away, in Glastonbury at least. Its bony fingers still claw at the ground, its gelid breath still chills the heart. Brief appearances by Ye Sunne are few but wonderful to behold. I didn’t see any creatures creep forth from their holes on Imbolc, but that’s principally because I was one of them.
OK, enough’s enough.. the graphic style of this blog, I have to admit, is rather underwhelming. It just doesn’t look clear, or easy on the eye. At least it should be wider, blah de blah.. A pimple on the blogosphere, all I can seem to manage at the moment is to briefly complain about its design.
So there’s another thing to go on the list, along with all the astro stuff.
“Note to self: make list of things to do – urgent.” Douglas Adams called such a person a Worksop in The Meaning Of Liff. Wasn’t it Margaret Thatcher who said that happiness is a “ticked-off list”? As unlikely as it seems, isn’t there something a tad spiritual embedded in that? For, what is “accomplishment”? etc etc

Twottle me on Fillow! I mean, twittle me on foller! No, fittle me on Twoller! Or rather, fottle me on Twillow … twoller me on Fitter? Ah it’s been a long day … just click here !
Started the astrology section from scratch. For the time being I’ve only coded “now” charts for the location Glastonbury at the time you load the page, though you can see current planetary positions and aspects.
Given some miraculous enthusiasm, I’ll enable user-entered times and places, and even resurrect personal charts with interpretations.
I came across this amazing advice on the UK Met Office website today (note: the “Severe weather advice” text is not a link):

It rather speaks for itself I think!
A completely gratuitous post to test posting from my iPhone… And it works!
